| SANYO began manufacturing
equipment for medical applications in 1974. The highlights of our record
so far include the world's first -152ºC ultralow temperature freezer in
1991, followed in 1993 by the release of a full range of refrigerators and
freezers using our CFC- free refrigerant, a breakthrough achieved in cooperation
with industry-leader ICI Chemicals & Polymers Ltd. Our work is inspired
by the concept Human-Oriented Design. We design and manufacture our own
compressors, then match them with our electronics technologies to create
unrivaled products. Performance, durability and speedy maintenance are our
